The Emirates Identity Authority has released its annual report under the theme “Excellence-based Performance and Achievements”, showing 97.5 percent success in achieving the goals set out in its 2010-2013 strategic plan, 91 percent customer satisfaction rate and 88 percent employee satisfaction rate.
The annual report is available on Emirates ID website www.eimiratesid.ae.
In its report, Emirates ID stressed its keenness to reinforce its role as a federal government entity in serving all segments of the society in line with the insightful vision of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and that of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in enabling the UAE government sector to excel in its systems, performance, services and outcomes.
“Emirates ID strives to implement the latest cutting-edge global concepts and principles of sustainable organizational excellence, especially the criteria of the ‘Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award’. The aim is to make a quantum leap in the Authority’s performance so as to become the world’s best organization in delivering advanced identity-related services,” the report underlined.
“What had been achieved so far is the fruits of the insightful vision of the country’s prudent leadership who, at an early stage, realized the importance of the advance identity management system in establishing a knowledge economy and society. Achievements are also a translation of the wise directives and the diligent follow-up of Emirates ID’s board of directors, as well as the results of several years of hard and loyal work of the Authority’s family in collaboration with its strategic partners,” said H.E. Dr. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Director General of Emirates ID, in his message entitled ‘A Continuous Successful March’.
“After nine years from inception, Emirates ID is going ahead in its march in steady and ambitious steps towards achieving and instilling innovation in performance and service delivery. Fueled with the positive energy stimulated by the prudent leadership, the Authority is determined to contribute to bringing happiness to the UAE people,” Dr. Al Khouri added.
“We are aware that our journey is long and hard, that we are shouldering a big responsibility and that we will face several challenges in our march towards excellence. However, we are determined to move ahead and look forward confidently, and be honored with effective contribution to realizing the UAE Vision 2021 towards celebrating our country as one of the world’s best countries by its golden jubilee,” Dr. Al Khouri underscored.
“Folding the chapters of its 2010-2013 strategic plan with all its accomplishments and building on the experience it gained, the challenges it faced and the knowledge and expertise it accumulated, Emirates ID started with a stronger momentum towards more development and a limitless excellence aboard the ship of its 2014-2016 strategic plan sailing in the direction of the UAE Vision 2021,” Dr. Al Khouri pointed out.
In a creative style, the report documents the success of Emirates ID’s strategic plan 2010-2013 through which the Authority was able to fulfill its ‘first mission’ in enrolling all the UAE people in the population register and the ID card project and laying down the infrastructure necessary to start its new strategic plan 2014-2016 through which Emirates ID seeks to fulfill its ‘second mission’ in boosting the online identity verification platforms, supporting a better decision making and enhancing the UAE’s national security and competitiveness.
Emirates ID is set to distribute copies of its annual report to all the federal and local government agencies as well as its strategic partners, academic and financial sectors. It will also make the report available at all its service centers across country in order to allow interested customers to learn about its mission and strategic objectives and projects, reinforcing thereby their belief in the important role the population register plays in boosting the country’s progress and development process, and their trust in the role played by the ID card project in strengthening the national and individual security and supporting the transition into a smart government.
The 310-pages annual report 2013 contains an overview of Emirates ID and the key milestones in its march since inception, as well as its performance and accomplishments based on the criteria of excellence, represented in Leadership, Strategy, Human Resources, Partnerships & Supplies, Operations & Services and Social Responsibility. It also highlights key accomplishments of the Authority’s strategic plan 2010-2013, its strategic plan 2014-2016, its policies and developmental, economic, environmental and social contributions, hence covering many of the requirements of the Global Reporting Initiative.
