The Emirates Identity Authority has called upon its customers to follow up status of their application for issuance/renewal of the ID card through its various electronic channels, with the aim to complete transactions without any delay, especially when these require customers to visit registration centers to update their data.
“The number of customers who followed up their applications through the ‘Check application status’ service via Emirates ID website reached more than 2,2400,747 customers since the beginning of the year,” said Emirates ID in news article published today by ‘Emarat Al Youm’ newspaper.
According to the article, Emirates ID stressed its commitment to deliver the highest levels of customer service in accordance with the simplest processes that ensure saving customers’ time and efforts and in such a manner to meet their aspirations, increase their satisfaction and draw a smile on their faces.
“Enrolling in the population register, issuance/renewal of the ID card and all services associated to them are being done easily and without any delay, be it for citizens or residents. The process for issuing an ID card for residents starts immediately once the residency permit has been issued, a matter which takes only few minutes thanks to the e-linking with the General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs. The application gets verified once confirmation on the residency permit has been received, then it goes for printing provided the documents were complete and sufficient,” Emirates ID clarified.
It added that it notifies customers throughout all the stages of the service via SMS to their registered mobile phone numbers informing them on each stage of the registration process, which starts with typing the application, where customers receive welcome message advising them on the next step. Another message will be sent to customers upon completing verification of the registration profile when customer receive SMS confirming completion of the stage and informing that the card will be printed upon the issuance of the residency permit.
“SMS’s requesting customers to complete/update their data are being sent in the event the application was not complete or needed amendment. Once complete, the application will be sent for ID card printing and delivery to Emirates Post, and customer will be notified via SMS,” Emirates ID pointed out.
Emirates ID highlighted that it also offers a number of channels that allows checking the status of application, including its website through the “Check application status” service, its instant chatting service “Ask Hamad”, via its social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & Instagram) and through its call center (600530003) which offers services 24/7 in Arabic, English and Urdu.
